Performance Highlights

I started singing at a very early age and my mother and I used to sing gospel songs (spirituals) as she used to call them from an old book of hymns. This experience instilled in me the importance of only performing songs with meaningful lyrics.

I have been very blessed to have traveled and performed in some amazing locations, internationally as well as in the USA. In the mid 80's, I was extremely privileged to perform at the Apollo Theatre, NY. I briefly performed and co-hosted with John Rozz of Sound Spectrum Entertainment before performing at the newly opened Foxwoods Casino, in the early 90's. My band and I performed at various venues in Dallas including a function for American Airlines. We also filmed a series of television commercials for the Rodney D. Young Insurance company, that aired for some time in the mid 90's.

My bands in Australia included Gil Askey of Motown fame and some very talented musicians. We performed at the Sydney Harbour Casino/Star City Casino; the Royal Prince Alfred & the Royal Motor Yacht Clubs; Round Midnight; The Pittwater RSL Club; Sheraton-on--the-Park; Crown Casino's Palladium Room; Rydges Hotel's former Legends Bar; Rockman's Regency Hotel;  Flemington Spring Racing Carnival (Melbourne Cup); the Caulfield Cup; the Australian Grand Prix and Australian Grand Final functions. We headlined a 2000 Olympic celebration organized by the Boral Group; and have performed for a number of Corporations, including Leighton Holdings and Toyota. While in China, I also performed at the Hong Kong Marriott.

On a charitable note, the American Cancer Society was my first beneficiary.  I've also supported Paul Newman's Hole-in-the-Wall-Gang Camp; The Newport Surf Lifesaving Club; Australian Lifeline Organization; The Australia Chinese Friendship Society; The Royal Children's Hospital and The Fred Hollows Foundation and many others.  Television and radio appearances, performances and interviews include: Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton; 3AW with Phillip Brady and Paul Cronin; 3MP with Davey Frankston and 3AK with Lee Drew all in support of The Fred Hollows Foundation and the Friends of Fred Hollows.  I performed and co-hosted with Vicki Petrovska on PBS-FM Australia, and broadcast on SBS Radio to support raising funds to aid the children of Malta.
